Confectionery base: The Italian #cookie dough (la pasta frolla) - #Whitemascarpone

Jam cookies with some fruit juice.

 
Ever tried to make some good Italian biscotti with a good cookie dough?
The so called "pasta frolla". An easy recipe with which you can bake good pies and, of course, nice cookies (biscotti).
The thing is, believe me, to first try and, then, bake the dough in the oven.
You'll start feeling a great smell in your house, that you'll look forward to see how your dough was and, above all, to taste some Italian biscottis with a good fruit juice.
Of course, don't forget to invite some people over and enjoy your good food with your friends!

The cookie dough ingredients:
 

160gr of butter (1+1/2 sticks) - 120gr of icing sugar (1  cup) - 300gr of plain flour (all purpose flour is fine - 2 + 1/3 cups) - 3 egg yolks - Lemon zest
 
 
  • Wash the lemon and get the zest
  • Get a bowl and put the soft butter inside, along with the flour, and start working it with your hands. After a short while, add the icing sugar
  • After this, you can add the egg yolks and keep working until you get a ball of dough.
  • Once that you're done with your dough, you can basically use it the way you want, but check this recipe to see how I make the classic Italian Biscotti with some jam.
