The chocolate chip cookies

Chocolate chip cookies - biscotti con gocce di cioccolato

Ok... I understand. This is not a tradional Italian dish.

But for sure, it's traditionally good! And tonight, I just wanted to eat something good. Something easy to make, for which (I swear) I used Italian butter, Italian sugar (except cane sugar), Italian all purpose flour, Italian baking powder and so on...

I mean these cookies are great and they just deserve to be baked as much as you can!

I know, they are a little fat but, you know what? For one time, WHO CARES... Because, at the end, who cares about your stomach?

YOU.

So it's time to get started.

The chocolate chip cookies' ingredients:
225 gr of soft butter - 150 gr of granulated sugar - 150 gr of cane sugar - 2 eggs - some vanilla syrup (or vanilla seeds) - 300 gr of flour - 6  gr of baking powder - a little bit of salt (but really, really just a little bit) - 250 gr of chocolate chips - 120 gr of peacans

  • Preheat the oven at 190°;
  • Get the electric whisks and work the soft butter with the sugars;
  • Add one egg and keep whisking until the egg is absorbed. Then, add the second egg;
  • Put the vanilla in the mixture and, then, add the flour and the baking powder;
  • Whisk the mixture either with the electric whisk or with a spoon... But in this case a strong arm is requested;
  • Finally, put the salt, the chocolate chips and the peacans. Then stirr strongly;
  • Ok, now you're done with the mixture, store it in the fridge for at least half hour (1 hour is even better);
  • After that, get the dough and, with the use of your right (or left) hand, get a little bit of the dough and put it on the tray (where you have placed some grease proof paper).
  • Once that you have filled the tray (but make sure you leave enough space in between) you can put the tray in the oven and bake the cookies for 12-13 minutes (until the border of each cooky is brown...);
  • After that, you can take the tray out of the oven, let the cookies cool and, finally, taste them!
